The core purpose of children and family hubs

The core purpose of children and family hubs is to improve outcomes for young children and their families and reduce inequalities between families in greatest need and their peers. Children’s centres provide care and education for families with children, from conception to their fifth birthday. Services include:

  • advice and guidance
  • integrated education and parenting skills
  • school readiness for children
  • work readiness for parents
  • child and family health

Family hubs provide a range of support and activities. You can access information through the location search on the right.
