Bi-Borough Autism Advisory Service

The Autism Advisory team has collated an audit for settings to use when they suspect a child may displaying behaviours consistent with Social, Communication differences.  It is recommended that settings use this audit as a tool to assess how often children are displaying behaviours and when.  If you feel a child is regularly displaying Social, Communication differences you may then wish to speak to your Early Years & Inclusion Advisor to discuss strategies to support the child and discuss whether a referral to the Child Development Clinic (CDC) is required.  Once a referral to CDC is made and an appointment for assessment is confirmed, the setting can then contact the Autism Advisory service direct to request additional support or observations.
