Tuesday 16th March 2021 is Young Carers Action Day.

Young Carers Action Day is a national day that takes place each year and the theme for this year is ‘Futures’. We will be marking the day with a series of virtual drop in sessions for Young Carers. There is a wide of variety of sessions on offer, some of which will be informative from services who can support Young Carers in thinking about various aspects of their futures and others that will be activity based. Below is a schedule of the sessions on offer:

Yoga – Join us for an exercise session aimed at improving fitness, flexibility and breathing

Continuing Caring into Adulthood (age 16+) – Explore what support is available should your caring role continue into adulthood

Looking after yourself (ages 7-11) – Come and learn about managing your own wellbeing whilst being a carer

Activity Session (ages 12+) – Take some time out to join in a fun & physical activity

Key stage 3 Options – Join us if you are currently thinking about your next steps in terms of what subjects to study for GCSEs

Key Stage 4 Options – This session is for you if you are thinking about what to do after secondary school and would like to know more about your options after year 11

Key Stage 5 Options - If you are considering whether to go to university, do an apprenticeship or start working after 18, this session will help you think about your options
