(Paid) Opportunity for Young People in the SEND / Neurodiverse Community

The Young Assessors group is a pilot opportunity for SEND/neurodiverse young people to evaluate local youth provisions and allocate funding to include more neurodiverse young people in their services. The group will work with RBKC's SEND Children and Young People's Participation Officer and Young K&C to ensure young people are centred within the decision-making process of local funding and youth services.

Young people will take part in a series of visits to applicants, assessing the services on their ability to welcome young people, accessibility, and overall impression. These visits will be led by the Young Assessors who will gather feedback to share with the grants panel.

The work of the Young Assessors is essential to including youth voice throughout our services and making sure young people have a say in the decisions that affect them.

Young Assessors will be trained by RBKC and Young K&C ahead of their work and will receive London Living Wage for their time. This is a great opportunity for young people to become key decision makers, partake in unique work experience and be involved in the community!

To get involved, please see the attached flyer, or contact Marianna mariana.lill@rbkc.gov.uk or 07967 760095 by Monday 18th July at 5pm.

Please pass on, advertise, or forward through any names of YP that may wish to take part.
