Doorstep Library (Church Street Area - NW8)

Service/Activity is free

Doorstep Library volunteers will come to your door once a week, after school, to read a story with your children and/or lend them books to borrow for the week. Our aim is to instill a love of reading for pleasure in children from babies up to 11 years old.

Research shows that enjoyment of books has a direct impact on academic achievement, language and development. We can sit outside on your doorstep with our little plastic stools, and there is no obligation to read every week. Our service is completely free, there is no cost involved at any point. Most importantly, the session is fun for you and us!

We operate in these areas:

  • Mozart Estate (W10)
  • Churchill Gardens (SW1)
  • Lisson Green Estate (NW8)
  • Church Street Area (NW8)

Please do get in touch if you would like to find out more.
