Bolly X Dance Class

Mevy is passionate about giving back to the community, and wants to build on her own community in her hometown Walthamstow, East London. She would like to help others within her community of Waltham Forest and the wider community to get more exercise, through BOLLYWOOD FITNESS!! She runs Bollywood fitness classes weekly including ladies only sessions currently on Zoom. Mevy is a Certified BollyX Fitness Instructor for CL1, BollyX for Kids, and BollyX Low Impact, Mevy believes that the value and benefits of women-only services are that many - women feel safe, supported and comfortable using women - only services. They become empowered, increase their confidence and self - esteem, and feel less marginalised and more able to express themselves. Mevy believes that all women should take time out to let their hair down, and to have lots of fun when they are having a fitness workout! Mevy's aim is to connect ALL women from all age groups and ALL cultural backgrounds especially from the BAME Community, to help women with their mental health and wellbeing by gaining the confidence, tackling challenges such as isolation and exclusion and enabling women to connect with other like-minded women through fitness. She is also working hard towards a few community projects teaching 50+ and older with The Mill,in Walthamstow starting in May 2021 and also has another exciting project under wraps where she will be teaching BollyX as a seated exercise class for people with limited mobility for Redbridge and Epping Parkinson's Support Group.
