The Family and Childcare Trust has joined the Coram group of charities to become Coram Family and Childcare.
For almost 300 years Coram has been working to meet the needs of vulnerable children. Coram not only bring the passion and expertise to give children the best start in life, but also an effective infrastructure to make this possible. This move will help to improve our sustainability far into the future. It will mean that we can spend less on keeping the charity running and more on our work with families.
While our name is changing, the work we deliver will not. We will continue our current work programme, including running our Parent Champions National Network, reaching thousands of disadvantaged families each year, our childcare surveys, the definitive source of information on the cost and availability of childcare in the UK each year, and supporting the All Party Parliamentary Group on Families in the Early Years.
We are really excited by the opportunity this change provides to help us meet the needs of more families and to have a greater impact.
Coram Family and Childcare. aims to make the UK a better place for families, through research, campaigning and information provision, and working with government, employers and parents to reduce pressures on family life.
