The Fitzrovia Centre aspires to be an independent, robust and sustainable organisation.

We continue to make strong progress towards our ambition of being an organisation that understands and articulates the needs of the community, actively seeking to ensure the Centre involves and consults with the communities in the design and delivery of its services.

Our aim is to create services that reflect the priorities and local needs of Fitzrovia, and develop mechanisms that represent the needs of the diverse community.

The core function of a community centre is to:

  • Promote the needs of the local area
  • Engage the local community through networking, collaboration and brokering services
  • Develop direct services

The work of the Fitzrovia Centre is delivered through three main strands:

Arts, Heritage & Culture

To host a programme of activities that embed arts, culture and heritage locally and promote the wider social and economic benefit of community arts within Fitzrovia.

Children & Families

To improve life outcomes for children, young people and their families who are living the borough of Camden and city of

Westminster, through the provision of both free and low-cost activities and services.

Community Facilities

To promote space hire and to create an age friendly centre, optimising opportunities for health participation, supporting local people of all ages and beliefs, leading active lives.
