We would love to hear from you if you are 18-24 and from the local area of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham or the City of Westminster and wish to:
- Gain skills and experience in content creation and event management.
- Create an event to share with your friends and community.
- Use your experience and knowledge to help us make science appealing to young people like yourself (you don’t need to like or be interested in science).
- Meet and share this experience with other young people.
- Be rewarded for your work – we will pay you for your time.
The Young Producers will work with Imperial College London scientists and an external artist to create an art and science installation for two of our major events: Imperial Lates and the Great Exhibition Road Festival.
What the project will give you:
- £24 per session during the project.
- Training in event content production.
- A network of other young producers like yourself.
What you need to give the project:
- Commitment – to attend the project sessions and events.
- Proactivity – to participate and share your knowledge.
- Willingness – to use your expertise to help Imperial College London improve
The project:
- 11 January kick-off
- x20 sessions, 2h long, on Weds evenings, 6.00-8.00pm.
- 30 min break with food included.
- At Imperial College London, South Kensington campus (sometimes in other Imperial campuses).
- Imperial Lates evening event on 9 March 2023.
- Great Exhibition Road Festival weekend, 16-18 June 2023.
