A multi-cultural, multi-faith, fully comprehensive school for 11-19 years olds.
St. Augustine’s is an inclusive, happy and vibrant learning community that aims to ensure that every student achieves and experiences as much joy as much as possible during their time with us.
By working in partnership with parents and carers we hope that all students demonstrate courage and perseverance to achieve their hopes and aspirations.
We want our students to show kindness and to value learning so that they can look back in later years with warmth and fondness on their time at St Augustine’s.
Specialist Resource Base for Hearing Impairment
St Augustine’s resource base provides young people with hearing impairment aged 11-18 years the opportunity of accessing the curriculum and social opportunities offered by a mainstream secondary school with the support of teachers of the deaf and teaching assistants who are specialists in hearing impairment.
The resource base provides an environment which enables small group learning, direct intervention alongside and/or in addition to regular secondary school classroom learning.
The resource base enables young people to follow an individual programme of early intervention to support the development of skills which underpin independent learning.
