Westminster Children's Services

There are a number of teams and services across Westminster who can provide help and support when needed to children, young people and their families. These include:

• support services for families - including parents and carers, children and young people - in need

• services for children with special educational need and disabilities (SEND) and their families

• safeguarding services for children and young people at risk of harm.

Who should you contact if you or your child needs support?

If you feel that you, your child or your family needs support, there is one number for you to call:

• Access to Children's Services - 020 7641 4000

The Access to Children's Services team can advise you on the best possible help available for you and your family.  The team includes representatives from:

• Early Years Services

• Health Services

• Social Care

• The Police

When you call the team, we will ask for your permission to share information amongst these service areas, to help us make a decision about the best way we might help you and your family.  This may also involve us contacting other agencies such as your child's school or GP. The team can also advise members of the public who might be concerned for a child or young person.
