Specialist Resource Base for Autism - The Orchard

Barlby Autism Resource Base provides children and the opportunity of accessing the curriculum and social opportunities offered by an outstanding mainstream school with the support of autism specialists and an environment which enables small group learning alongside and/or in addition to the regular classroom. 

This autism resource base enables children to follow an individual programme tailored to support them address key areas of development, in particular communication and social emotional skills through the provision of evidence-based intervention.

The school day runs from 9:00am-3:30pm term time.

How do you access this service?

Applications for the mainstream are through the admission department of the families local borough. The ARP apllications are completed through the SEN department of the families local borough.

How do we ensure the quality of this service?

Regular reviews and inspections are completed by a variety of professionals. This includes internal reveiws from the Head Teacher, Deputy Head Teacher and senior members of staff as well as external reveiws from borough consultants and Ofsted.
