We currently run three toddler group sessions on Thursday: 9:30-11:00 and 11:30 -13:00 and Friday 10:00 -11:30. We provide a great space to play, with a variety of toys and craft, while parents/carers have a chance to drink coffee and chat to each other as well as play with their children.
A typical session consists of free play (& coffee) for an hour, followed by snacks and drinks, and then song time.We also run parenting courses once a term. Our Circle of Security Parenting Groups are designed to give parents ‘a map’ for understanding and responding to their children’s emotional needs.
Research shows that parents who are able do this in a loving and consistent way give their children an amazing start in life. The groups run for eight weeks and usually have about twelve people per group.
They are run on a Friday at the same time as the toddler group so your child can attend the group with a carer. Finally topic-specific evenings seminar will run regularly to provide local parents/care givers with advice on child rearing as well as an opportunity to meet informally with other parents/care givers to discuss issues that they might be struggling with.
