Churchill Gardens Primary Academy is a small, inclusive and friendly school for 4-11 year olds.
Specialist Resource Base for Speech, Language and Communication Needs
Churchill Gardens Speech and Language resource base provides children aged 4-11 years who have speech, language and communication needs the opportunity of accessing the curriculum and social opportunities offered by a mainstream school with the support of teachers and teaching assistants who are specialists in language development and work alongside speech and language therapists. The resource base provides an environment which enables small group learning, direct intervention alongside and/or in addition to regular classroom learning.
The resource base enables young children to follow an individual programme of early intervention to support the development of the speech and language skills which underpin learning.
A key focus is the provision of evidence-based intervention to support language development and attainment of learning goals.
Pupils at Churchill Gardens are expected to be thoughtful and considerate, and to be aware of and responsive to the needs of others.
We also encourage our pupils to ‘have a go’ and to do their best, so that they grow in resilience and perseverance.
Provides Early Learning places for 3 & 4 year olds.
