During this difficult time for everyone we are continuing to adapt the way we operate and serve our local community, with this in mind we are moving forward with the following steps:
- Operating a Home Delivery Only Service effective from Monday 6th April; this means our premises will not be open to clients.
- Moving to using e-vouchers over the next couple of weeks. However, in the meantime can I ask you to use the attached form — https://forms.gle/DsBZxKzUGvPq9Cme6 to refer clients. Please look out for your invitation to join the e-voucher system.
It is also important to note that we will only provide a delivery service for clients living within the City of Westminster. To make this service operate smoothly we must have the client's full name, address and a contact number. It is helpful when speaking to the client if you inform them that a representative from the Foodbank will be contacting them to make arrangements for delivery and to check any special dietary needs we need to be aware of.
We would also be grateful if referring agencies could complete and return the attached Data Sharing Agreement document as soon as possible.
The main reasons for this is to make the best use of the resources we have, reduce the amount of face to face contact with clients. Our final client face to face session will be this Thursday 2nd April 2020. Please pass on this information to your colleagues.
It is important to note that the delivery service is a temporary measure whilst there is a lock down.
The Foodbank is based at Westminster Chapel and provides three days’-worth of nutritionally balanced (non-perishable) food to residents in the City of Westminster experiencing financial crisis, through a voucher scheme.
REMEMBER TO BRING A WHEELED SUITCASE OR TROLLEY IF COMING TO COLLECT FOOD
