Kensington and Chelsea College has two sites based near Kings Road in Chelsea.

Ofsted rates our teaching as good. Our range of courses offers career enhancement opportunities, a credible alternative route to university and recognised qualifications leading to employment.

We are an established and trusted college for delivering Apprenticeships, and professional, bespoke training to businesses across London that has led to strong partnerships with leading creative and cultural venues, including the V&A and Historic Royal Palaces.

We are an associate college member for The National Skills Academy for Creative & Cultural Skills.

Students also benefit from a strong network of support services, including assistance in finding and preparing for jobs on course completion.

What does the college curriculum look like?

The college is predominately available to students from 16-19, however we do have a small number of student who stay with us until they are 20.

The college offers a range of courses which includes:

  • Level 1 UAL Diploma in Art & Design 16 -18
  • Level 1 CACHE Diploma in Introduction to Health, Social Care and Children’s and Young People’s Settings
  • Level 2 BTEC courses including Barbering Hair and Beauty
  • Level 3 BTEC courses
  • As part of your learning experience and study programme, learners aged under 19 who don’t have English & Maths GCSE at A-C will be required to undertake this either at Functional skills level or GCSE level.

Support is provided by our qualified and experienced team of Support Workers. We can also provide specialist technology and equipment.

We also offer In-class or small group support to students, usually on full-time courses, who are experiencing difficulties with reading, writing, maths or study skills.

Tutorial Support

Support and advice are always important during your studies. For this reason all students have an Individual tutorial each term where they discuss their progress and plan action to improve their performance. Full-time students also have weekly group tutorials where they focus on developing personal and social skills to improve their chances of being successful in education and work.

Student Activities

College Youth Workers organise a range of activities across the College throughout the year for all students.

How will the college prepare my child for employment?

The KCC Works team provides a range of training opportunities and services for you and your staff, these include Apprenticeships, bespoke training, a free recruitment service and skills support for the newly redundant or unemployed. Investing in Apprenticeships and other staff training can add real value to your organisation, improving staff retention, efficiency and productivity.

KCC Works is part of Kensington and Chelsea College. Ofsted rated good, our tutors and staff are highly skilled, professional and hold the latest industry recognised qualifications so you can be sure your staff will receive the best training and support throughout their study. We work with many well-known organisations such as The Victoria and Albert Museum, Catalyst and The NHS.
