AL MANAAR (Muslim Cultural Heritage Centre)



This organisation aims to empower local people from all backgrounds to reach their full potential and play an active and participatory role in building stable, cohesive and successful communities.

Services include 

Elderly Wellbeing for Ladies age 55 with services such as Yoga and Aerobics every Tuesday and Wednesday

Mens' Luncheon Club for elderly men age 50 and over every Tuesday from 1:00 - 3:00,

Information & Advice session every Tuesdays from 2:00- 6:00 (by appointment only)

Counselling coffee afternoon every Thursday from 5:00 - 7:00

Counselling services for singles, couples and children

Youth Club every Tuesdays from 5:00 - 7:00

Saturday School for ages 6-16 run by volunteer tutors from the City Circle on Sat 10am-1.30pm

Arabic School (Arabic, Qur’an and Islamic Studies) catering for over 150 children aged 6-14 on Sun 9.30am-2.30pm (the 46 school is fee-based, first come first served)

Qur’an School helping children aged 5-13 to recite the Qur’an properly and memorise it in part or in full, on Tue and Thu 5-7pm.

Activities are term time only but there are other holiday activities organised individually and close to the time.
